Each family came to Good Beginnings with a unique challenge. These are direct quotes from families who have experienced care firsthand.
Juliette and Rebecca came to Good Beginnings after years of dealing with Rebecca’s gastro issues and feeling “at a loss” with advice from multiple pediatric GI doctors. After their own research into pediatric pelvic floor therapy, they booked an intake with Dr. Amy.
“What made us say yes to Good Beginnings was just an incredible first meeting and intake with Dr. Amy. We could just tell right away that there was incredible care and consideration taken for every patient. We felt very heard and listened to.”
“Good Beginnings was really helpful for me because I felt that they cared about me. Dr. Amy made it fun in a way. I started having more bowel movements because of the stretches and the exercises that she taught me.”
“Our experience working with Good Beginnings and the whole billing department was completely seamless. We had zero issues. We really appreciated that the billing department was very transparent with costs. The financial investment was 100% worth it.”
“Something that positively surprised me about Good Beginnings was the depth of knowledge that the therapist had regarding Rebecca’s issue. Dr. Amy and just her wealth of knowledge on the issue blew us away.”
Becky heard about Good Beginnings through moms in the area and described the experience as “honestly a lifesaver” for the consistency it provided Logan. What stood out most was the therapists’ willingness to understand Logan not just as a patient, but as a kid; leaning into his strengths, his hobbies, and who he is.
“They leaned into his strengths, they leaned into his hobbies, they leaned into him. That is sort of how they approach therapy. And I think that’s really unique and special.”
She noted how responsive the team was from personalized OT-friendly gift recommendations to collaborative communication around Logan’s school schedule: “I just love how collaborative it’s been.”
“I would recommend Good Beginnings because the therapists really want to provide individualized care and treatment plans. They go above and beyond when it comes to collaboration with the parents, with other therapists, and potentially even with teachers.”
Mati was born with a genetic disorder and came to Good Beginnings at three months old, right after being released from the NICU.
From their very first consultation, Aimee described feeling a shift: “We were given hope about her future and her potential.”
“What made us say yes to Good Beginnings first and foremost were the reviews that we had read online, and hearing about the practitioners in the office. What solidified our decision to begin with Good Beginnings was the joy and care that we felt when we first went for an initial consult.”
Over five and a half years, the team worked with Mati’s hand deformity through OT, helping her develop a pincer movement and use her hand for daily activities, something Aimee never thought possible. The family also found that the therapists always saw Mati’s potential beyond her current stage.
“The therapists have always seen Mati in leaps and bounds steps beyond where she currently is and that she really responds to warm demanders who expect a lot of her. She just needs more time and more practice.”
“It gives me great joy and honor to be able to share Good Beginnings with them. I’m very grateful and happy to keep other families realizing what it can do for them and for their children.”
Margie used to drive from Arlington all the way to Springfield for therapy before finding Good Beginnings.
She eventually switched both of her children, one with cerebral palsy, one with Down syndrome, and has been with Good Beginnings for the past 10 years.
“It was extremely important and helpful that Good Beginnings takes our insurance and does all the legwork as far as submitting, because if it was up to me to do it, we wouldn’t be going to therapy.”
The scheduling flexibility was a key factor in their ability to maintain consistent care: “They always worked with me to get the best appointment time for our family, and we’ve been able to continue to see them for the last 10 years because of the fact that they work with our schedules.”
The practical, in-home problem-solving aspect of care stood out for Margie’s son’s daily life goals: “My son can walk up the stairs and he can get himself into his bed and he can do a bunch of things now all because of Good Beginnings and their physical therapist.”
“I would recommend Good Beginnings to any family that is in need of help… they hire the best people and they treat you as human beings and as a family unit.”
