Food Fun
Mealtime can be one of the most stressful parts of the day for families with picky eaters or children with feeding challenges.
That is why our pediatric therapy team at Good Beginnings puts together regular food play ideas designed to make eating feel less like a battle and more like an adventure.
Each Food Fun activity is rooted in the same sensory and motor principles our therapists use in feeding therapy sessions.
Food play builds tolerance for new textures, supports fine motor development through handling and arranging foods, and gives kids a low-pressure way to explore what is on their plate.
No special equipment needed. Just your kitchen, a willing kid, and a little creativity.
Browse the activities below, try one this week, and if your child needs more support around mealtime, our feeding therapy team is here to help.
