Dr. Amy has been absolutely amazing she was able to effectively explain everything that was going on with our child and connect with both us and our child quickly and easily. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Amy at the Bowel and Bladder Clinic. She has changed our life for the better. We were in a 20+ month long battle with my daughter withholding stool. We had been hospitalized and waited months for "specialists" who offered no advice and chalked it up to behavior. Ironically, nothing about her behavior outside of pooping was off. We walked into Dr. Amy's office and within an hour, we had more answers and a plan than we had in the 20 months prior. I literally cried on the way home because I couldn't believe I had been right, that this wasn't my daughter being manipulative and bad. We noticed measurable change within 2 visits. We went weekly and took all the advice we were given. We were diligent about the exercises and when we got pushback from our daughter on some of the things we had to do, Dr. Amy came to our rescue with tools and got us right back on track. I wish 10 stars was an option for this review because this practice has corrected our problems and my daughter is a totally different kid now that she isn't constantly constipated, in pain and on medicines that weren't addressing the cause of the problem. If you are struggling, the wait time to get in, the drive (if you have one, ours was 90 minutes each way) and any out-of-pocket costs (our insurance covered almost all of it) will be totally worth it, if you are willing to partner with the doctors and your child.

Wow, where to begin! Good Beginnings and their fantastic staff have been a saving grace for our family. One of my daughters struggled for years with bowel issues (encopresis) and needed intense pelvic floor therapy. We saw Dr. Amy O'Malley for 2 years and I am not exaggerating when I say she has been an angel to my daughter. The encouragement, the actual PT work, the thoughtfulness in the approach - all amazing. We also did some OT (for interoception work) with Erin. Our experience with Good Beginnings was so positive that we decided to use them for a secondary PT issue (snapping hip syndrome). We are now seeing Tracy, who is also really lovely. From the PT/OT staff to the scheduling and billing departments - everyone has been incredibly helpful, patient, and competent. Excellent care and expertise! The PTs here have a passion for their work, with a drive for continued education and excellence in  specialties I didn’t even know could be addressed by PT. I do not know where we would be today if we hadn’t fallen into the lap of Amy who took my 3 week old with ill-shaped rib cage and retracted breathing and taught him to breath into his chest in less than a month, resulting in a reshaped and normal rib cage. Since then I’ve brought other children for evaluations and seen multiple different PTs, all of whom are professional, intelligent, thorough, and dedicated. It’s obvious that Good Beginnings cares deeply about ensuring excellence of the care they provide, and invests in this goal through mentorship and collaboration among PTs. We’ve worked with other pediatric PTs before in different practices, and this is the first time I’ve seen such collaboration.

Also, l have not had any issues with billing in 8 months of care. To the contrary, even when I’ve made a mistake, like only updating my card number to HSA on one of my kids’ accounts and not the other ones, billing has been very easy to work with to refund and rerun charges.

My son has been to three different physical therapy locations and Good Beginnings has been by far the best clinic!! Physical Therapist, Ms. Jessica Toth has been outstanding working with our toddler. She knows how to relate to his personality and has tailored his treatment plan to fit his ongoing needs. Jessica is an outstanding asset to Good Beginning.
